Description

Airmail cover commemorating Lindbergh's inaugural flight from Tampico, Mexico to Brownsville, Texas, postmarked at Tampico on March 9, 1929, signed along the left edge in fountain pen, "C. A. Lindbergh." In fine condition. Accompanied by several original vintage photographs associated with Lindbergh's trip, including press photos of Lindbergh with Dwight Morrow, the crowd gathered outside the national palace in Mexico City, a group of admirers holding a 'Viva Lindbergh' sign, and Lindbergh being honored by Mexico's legislature; plus a mounted photograph of him posing with a group, a modern print of him with the Spirit of St. Louis, and a halftone magazine print of the dancing crowd greeting him in Mexico City's stadium.
