Ink signatures, "Cyrus W. Field" and "Peter Cooper," on a white 4.5 x 2 slip, trimmed and affixed to a larger album page. In very good to fine condition, with light show-through along the edges from mounting on the back. Cooper was an industrialist, inventor, and politician (1791-1883) who designed the first steam locomotive built in the United States; Field was an industrialist (1819-1892) who financed the first permanently operational transatlantic telegraph cable.
