Pair of original 5 x 7 silver gelatin photographs of Bob Dylan backstage at Minneapolis Auditorium on November 5, 1965: one shows him holding a glass, with the headstock of Robbie Robertson's guitar seen in the background; and one is an intriguing 'Dutch angle' portrait showing him from below. Both are displayed in their original exhibition mounts from the "Bob Dylan's American Journey, 1956-1966" exhibit held at the Experience Music Project in Seattle in 2004-2005, annotated in pencil with exhibit inventory data on the reverse. In fine condition.
Dylan returned home for the first time in November 1965, playing before a crowd of 9,000 at Minneapolis Auditorium on the 5th. Looking to please the crowd, he opened with some acoustic folk tunes before bursting into an electric set, backed by Robbie Robertson and Levon Helm.
