Two items: an attractive matte-finish 10.25 x 13.25 photo of the Lagoon of Nations and the statue of George Washington on Constitution Mall, with the massive Trylon and Perisphere rising in the background at the 1939 New York World's Fair, mounted and framed to an overall size of 17.75 x 21.75; and an original walnut shield from the 1939 New York World's Fair, 6.25 x 7.5, with a circular plate that features the Trylon and Perisphere, and the shield stamped above and below: "The Merrills, Wellesley, Mass." Reverse of shield marked: "Genuine American Walnut, Stamped with 22 1/2 K Gold, Plaque of Honor, Inc., New York." In overall fine condition. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
