Two items: an AMQS on an off-white 7 x 10.25 musically lined sheet, signed below in bold ink, "Berners," who adds 12 bars of the opening piano arrangement from his 1920 work 'Portsmouth Point,' with tempo note of "Allegro con brio"; and an ALS signed "Berners," one page, 4.5 x 7, August 5, 1945, Amblecote Nursing Home letterhead, addressed to a Mr. Newman, in full: "I have just read the 3rd volume of the life of Wagner with the most intense pleasure. Do hurry up with the next volume! I am longing for the Nietzsche-Wagner episode. You may perhaps be amused by this little book and the account of a youthful Wagnerian infatuation."
