Description

American aviator during the interwar period (1898-1935) who became the first pilot to fly solo around the world. Also known for his work in high-altitude flying, Post helped develop one of the first pressure suits and discovered the jet stream. Vintage ink signature, "Wiley Post,” on an off-white 5.25 x 3.25 stationery card from The Roosevelt in New York. Another hand has added the date and an inscription: "July 24, 1933, With kindest regards to young Bill Taylor." In fine condition. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
