Description

Italian composer (1760-1842) known for his operas and sacred music; Beethoven regarded him as the greatest of his contemporaries. LS in Italian, signed “L. Cherubini,” one page, 5 x 4.5, Conservatoire de Musique letterhead, June 10, 1835. Untranslated note in French signed as director of the Conservatoire de Paris. Handsomely double-matted and framed to an overall size of 10.75 x 16.75. In fine condition, with some light soiling.
