American journalist (1908-1965) best known for his wartime broadcasts from London and his widely respected CBS television news shows See It Now and Person to Person. TLS signed “E. R. Murrow,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, December 14, 1954. Letter to Keith W. Jennison of Viking Press, in full: "Thank you very much for sending me Lillian Smith's Now Is the Time. So far I have not had an opportunity to read it, but shall look forward to doing so in the near future." In fine condition.
