Group lot of three TLSs, an ALS, and a glossy 4 x 4 photo, each signed either "Marianne Moore" or "Marianne Craig Moore." The letters, four total pages, dated between 1961 and 1968, are addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Ken Browne. The ALS, February 8, 1961, in part: "My photographer has died and I cannot send you a picture. Indeed am myself only just able to write this note having been for more than a month in a hospital." A TLS, April 10, 1961, in part: "Thank you for the Indian version of the Twenty-Third Psalm; it emphasizes the one we know, and I like very much, the Madonna—and detail of the frame around it,—the organ-pipe cactus, the yucca, turtle and rabbit, and other desert forms." The other two letters consist of pleasantries, her change of address, and forwarding a photograph, which is included and is signed and inscribed on the reverse in black ink, "Marianne Craig Moore, Feb. 18, 1968, For Mr. and Mrs. Ken Browne." In overall very good to fine condition, with staple holes and paperclip impressions. Each letter is accompanied by its original mailing envelope, three of which are stapled to its respective letter.
