Original patent lithographs for George Albert Rossiter's improvements relating to gyroscopic compasses, three pages, two 12.25 x 10.25 (linen-backed) and one 6 x 10.25 (not linen-backed), September 2, 1919. The diagrams feature multiple views of the improved gyroscope design. The top borders read: "131,900 Rossiter's Complete Specification." The lower borders feature the printed text: "Malby & Sons, Photo-Litho." The left borders read: "This Drawing is a reproduction of the Original on a reduced scale." Includes the printed British "Patent Specification" document, eleven pages on six sheets, which describes the invention as "comparatively inexpensive to construct, and more certain in operation than those heretofore proposed." The specification sheet bears a "U.S. Patent Office Library" ink stamp on the first page. In fine condition, with some paper loss to the left edge.
