Historic section of teak wood taken from the actual 'Surrender Deck' of the USS Missouri, measuring approximately 3.5″ x 4″ x 1.25″, carved to replicate the appearance of the spot where the instrument of surrender was signed on September 2, 1945, including an embedded 1.25″ medal bearing the same inscription as the plaque that marks the spot on the ship's deck today. An engraved presentation plaque on the front reads: "Industrial Relations Conference, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, December 1949, Replica of Surrender Deck, Teak Wood from Deck of U.S.S. Missouri." In fine condition.
