Description

British minister and social reformer (1829-1912) best known as the founder of the Salvation Army. Scarce vintage matte-finish 3.75 x 5.5 portrait of William Booth in profile, affixed to the original 6 x 8 mount, signed in fountain pen, "With thanks for kindly arrangements for my comfort on the Campania. William Booth, March 14, 1903." In very good to fine condition, with surface loss to each corner tip of the mount.
