Description

Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 11.75 x 15, March 25, 1829. Scalloped-top ship's pass issued to the "Barque Armadillo of New York, Jn'o Robertson master or commander of the burthen of Two hundred, fifty six & 28/95 tons or thereabouts mounted with one guns navigated with Ten men." Signed at the conclusion by Andrew Jackson, and countersigned below by acting Secretary of State James Alexander Hamilton. Embossed white paper seal remains affixed to lower left corner. In fine condition, with some light toning and creasing.
