Brock, Jr., the architect who designed his home at Gettysburg. In part: "Thank you for your note as well as the pocket shield with the personalized pens, each of a different color…I was permitted very few visitors while in the hospital, but was told of your messages of concern and I am grateful for your interest. The doctors have ordered me to spend several quiet weeks at home before starting for California. Mrs. Eisenhower and I plan to leave shortly for the West Coast, and with my activities so limited there just isn't time to work in a visit with you. I am sorry."
