Extremely rare program for the Hollywood Bowl for the week of August 15-19, 1967, 6 x 9, 64 pages, including the August 18th performance of The Mamas and the Papas, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, the Electric Flag, and Scott MacKenzie. In very good to fine condition, with creasing to the covers, and general light handling wear. Accompanied by a modern color glossy photo of Hendrix during his Hollywood Bowl sound check. The Jimi Hendrix Experience had dropped out as the opening act for the Monkees in July, leaving them to play wherever they could get a booking in the US that summer. They played a series of shows in New York City and a few dates in Washington, DC, before heading out to California for this show with The Mamas and the Papas, who Hendrix had met during the Monterey Pop Festival in June. This is the first US program to list the Jimi Hendrix Experience on a bill with a specific date and time.
