ALS signed “Tom Ferebee,” one page, 8.5 x 11, December 16, 1985. Letter to a young admirer, in part: "It makes me feel good to get favorable comments from people like you. I have four boys & know what you are going through at this age. It is good to know that you have picked a goal & I'm sure it will be well met. When I was your age I wanted to be a professional baseball player, but the war got me instead. I still feel that we did the correct thing by dropping the bomb and would not hesitate to do it again if the circumstances were the same. When I released the bomb & saw that it had functioned as it should I was relieved & convinced the war would end and all the millions of people could go home. We observed the mushroom cloud form & the base cover the city. It was a boiling mass of many colors." In fine condition.
