Varsity-style 'The Gold Experience’ artist proof tour jacket, size L, with Steer Brand label to inner collar, black wool body, beige leather sleeves, and knit cuffs, collar, and waistband. The left and right chest is stitched with gold and black lettering, "NPG Records, 1995 Limited / rock ‘n’ roll is alive (and it lives in Minneapolis)," and the back is prominently embroidered with bright gold thread: "the gold experience,” with lower “A/P” and Prince ‘Love Symbol’ in black stitching. In fine condition. This rare artist proof tour jacket was created for a Prince tour that ultimately never came to fruition due to his ongoing feud with Warner Bros. This jacket was shown to Prince for his approval, but his final decision remains a Paisley Park mystery.
Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Prince's Personal Sound Engineer, Shane T. Keller.
