Description

Belgian playwright, poet, and essayist (1862-1949) awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1911. ALS in French, signed “M. Maeterlinck,” three pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.5 x 7, March 18, 1902. Letter concerning an "introduction to one of the volumes of your editions of Shakespeare." In fine condition, with light wrinkling. Accompanied by an unsigned portrait of the author.
