Description

Four TLSs, three signed "Jerry Ford" and one signed "Jerry," each one page, House of Representatives letterhead, dated from 1964-1970. Contents of the letters, in part: "I was pleased to autograph the photo you enclosed and have sent it on to Governor Romney with a note for his attention. It is likely that he will be returning it to you shortly. I was glad to do it and I deeply appreciate your 'out-of-state' support and your kind personal comments"; "I am very sorry but I can not send you any letters which I may have received from the last three Presidents of the United States"; "Thank you so much for the kind letter of congratulations which you sent upon my reelection"; and "We do hope to send you an autographed copy of the President's photograph as soon as it can be obtained…While he may use, as have other Presidents, other means for signing certain documents, President Nixon has made a general policy to personally autograph photographs if requested by members of Congress." In very good to fine condition, with light edge creasing, and staple holes to the upper left corners. Accompanied by the original mailing envelopes, all bearing pre-printed free franks.
