Group lot of five oversized official color glossy NASA photographs, 14 x 11 and 11 x 14, each depicting historic moments from the Apollo program: the famed ‘Earthrise’ image taken by Bill Anders during the Apollo 8 mission; Alan Shepard holding the American flag during the Apollo 14 mission; Jim Irwin saluting the American flag during the Apollo 15 mission; Charlie Duke on the lunar surface during the Apollo 16 mission; and the launch of the Apollo 16 mission on April 16, 1972. Reverse of each bearing “A Kodak Paper” watermarks. In overall fine condition, with slight curling to edges. From the personal collection of Paul Kruppenbacher, a member of the NASA Houston Landing and Recovery Division who trained Apollo astronauts in water recovery procedures and was deployed on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers for crew and spacecraft recovery operations.
