One month after JFK's election: "We are particularly grateful for your good wishes for our son"

Three items, signed by Joseph P. Kennedy, Jean Kennedy Smith, and Sargent Shriver:

Joseph P. Kennedy
Patriarch of the fabled family of American politicians (1888-1969) who served as American ambassador to Great Britain from 1938 to 1940. TLS signed "Joseph P. Kennedy," one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, December 7, 1960. Letter to Barbara Parisian, in full: "Mrs. Kennedy joins me in thanking you for your very nice letter. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and we are particularly grateful for your good wishes for our son." In fine condition.

Jean Kennedy Smith
American diplomat, activist, and humanitarian (born 1928) whose siblings included John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Ted Kennedy. Felt tip signature, "Jean Kennedy Smith," on a white 3 x 5 card. In fine condition.Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.

Sargent Shriver
American diplomat, politician, and activist (1915-2011) who married Eunice Kennedy and was the driving force behind the creation of the Peace Corps. Ballpoint signature, "Sargent Shriver," on a white 5 x 3 card. In fine condition. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.
