Barkley"; a first edition of Present at the Creation: My Years in the State Department, hardcover with dust jacket, published by W. W. Norton in 1969, signed on the first free end page in black felt tip, "Dean Acheson"; and a later printing of Plain Speaking: An Oral Biography of Harry S. Truman by Merle Miller, signed and inscribed on the title page in black ballpoint, "For Anita—Whom love; it's as simple as that!! Lovingly, Merle." In very good to fine condition, with some wear, small tears, and sunning to the dust jackets, and the price torn off the front flap of the jacket on the Acheson book.
