Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 19.25 x 14.5, July 28, 1897. President McKinley appoints Isaac P. Garrett as "Postmaster at Lansdowne, in the County of Delaware, State of Pennsylvania." Signed at the conclusion by President McKinley and countersigned by Postmaster General James A. Gary. The gold foil seal affixed to the lower left remains intact, with loss to most of the green ribbon. In very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, and some scattered light stains.
