Four items: an untranslated TLS in German, one page, personal letterhead, September 18, 1959; a TLS, one page, personal letterhead, March 31, 1950, in part: "Thanks for your letter. I was pleased with your kind words. Enclosed you will find a photo and I hope you are enjoyed about it"; a glossy 4 x 5.75 photo of Max Schmeling with his wife, Anny Ondra, sitting with their two dogs, signed by both in blue fountain pen, with Schmeling adding an inscription; and a 4 x 5.75 paperstock photo of Schmeling with his arms folded, signed and inscribed in black ballpoint by Schmeling, who dates the photo to March 1950. In overall very good to fine condition. Accompanied by an oversized matchbook promoting the June 18, 1936 bout between Schmeling and Joe Louis, with two matches no longer present.
