Canadian-American filmmaker and studio head (1880-1960) who opened Keystone Studios, the first fully enclosed film stage, and was the originator of slapstick routines such as pie-throwing and car-chases; in 1938, he was presented with an honorary Academy Award for his contribution to film comedy. Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Sennett in a serious front-facing pose, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "For Dick, Best wishes, Mack Sennett.” In fine condition.
