Description

President Eisenhower's pen used to sign the Postal Field Service Compensation Act of 1955. The official 'bill signer' Esterbrook dipping pen measures 6.25″ long and features a black plastic grip with a Lucite handle imprinted with "The President—The White House." Mounted in a shadowbox and framed with a calligraphic identification card, "Pen used by President Eisenhower to sign the 'Postal Field Service Compensation Act of 1955,' S.2061, June 10, 1955," to an overall size of 10 x 10. In fine condition. The act increased the rates of basic compensation of officers and employees in the field service of the Post Office Department.
