French prostitute and spy (1889-1982) who was hired by French counterintelligence during World War I. Two items: an untranslated ALS in French, one page, 5.75 x 4.25, personal stationery, with pencil notation to reverse dating the letter to January 6, 1976; and a glossy 5 x 8 paperstock photo of Marthe Richard, signed in French in fountain pen (translated), "Tribute of a woman fighting two wars, M. Richard." In overall fine condition.
