TLS signed “Margaret Mitchell Marsh,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, July 20, 1948. Letter to Mrs. Pruitt, in full: "Thank you so much for your letter with the information about the album of songs containing 'Lorena' and the others I was searching for. It was good of you to give me the name and address of the publisher. I am going to order a copy for future use for, while I do not play any musical instrument, I have a great many calls for old music. I was able to get from different people 'Lorena,' 'Bonnie Blue Flag,' 'When This Cruel War Is Over' and the others I needed. It did seem strange to me that I could find no album on sale in Atlanta which contained them—and every collection of so-called 'patriotic airs' had 'Marching Through Georgia' prominently listed. I think Lorena is a beautiful song and a beautiful name, and your mother must have thought so too!" In fine condition, with some very light creasing.
