Scarce original color 34 x 13 Apple Records promotional poster for the release of the live triple album The Concert for Bangladesh by George Harrison and friends, with album artwork to left side and balance of poster bearing bold white and black text: “‘The Concert for Bangla Desh, Live Recording of the historic Madison Square Garden Concert, 3 LPs with 64-page full-color book.” Rolled and in fine condition, with scattered staple holes. The Concert for Bangladesh, a pair of benefit concerts organized by Harrison and sitar master Ravi Shankar, were held at NYC's Madison Square Garden on August 1, 1971. They were attended by over 40,000 people and raised over $250,000 for Bangladesh relief, funds designed to assist refugees from East Pakistan following the Bangladesh Liberation War-related genocide. Although Ringo Starr was the only other Beatle to attend, the concerts included many willing and legendary musicians, including Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, Leon Russell, and Badfinger.
