Letter to philanthropist Cecile Heine, in full (translated): "It is with great sorrow for me that a previous engagement already arranged deprives me of the pleasure to come to your lovely invitation for Friday. Please receive, Madame, the expression of my regret together with respectful homage from your very devoted." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed by Meyerbeer.
