Description

TLS as president, one page, 6.75 x 9, White House letterhead, August 28, 1968. Letter to Assistant Postmaster General Richard Murphy, in part: "I was cheered to hear your report on the success of our 1968 Savings Bond Campaign in the Federal Government. The figure and trends speak eloquently of the Federal spirit, and equally as a tribute to your own leadership. Every American can share my appreciation for the new strength that has been given to our economy and the new hope you have added to our future." In fine condition, with light toning to the top edge.
