Description

Two items:

Flown commemorative cover from the Smithsonian Institution National Air and Space Museum with a cachet honoring the 25th Anniversary of Supersonic Flight and Captain Yeager's breaking of the sound barrier in his Bell X-1 on October 14, 1947, signed in blue ballpoint by Yeager. Reverse of cover marked with caption: "This cachet was flown at supersonic speed at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif." In fine condition.

Signed book: Yeager. Later printing. NY: Bantam Books, 1985. Hardcover with dust jacket, 6.5 x 9.25, 342 pages. Signed on the first free end page in black felt tip by Chuck Yeager. In very good to fine condition, with some creasing and edge tears to the dust jacket.
