Sterling silver Mexican tray commemorating President Dwight D. Eisenhower's trip to Villa Acuña, Mexico, in October 1960, measuring approximately 8 x 2.25 x 6 and weighing 316 grams, engraved inside, "Entrevista Villa Acuña, Oct. 1960." The base is marked "Sterling" and stamped with a maker's mark. Also includes a bold ink signature, "Dwight D. Eisenhower," on a 4.5 x 2.25 slip clipped from the close of a letter. In overall very good to fine condition, with scattered tarnishing to the tray. On October 24, 1960, President Dwight D. Eisenhower traveled to Villa Acuña, a city on the Rio Grande, to meet with Mexican President Adolfo López Mateos, to sign initial agreements for the construction of the Amistad Dam.
