Democratic mayor of Boston nicknamed 'Honey Fitz,' father of Rose Kennedy, and namesake of his grandson John F. Kennedy (1863-1950). Two scarce pins from Fitzgerald's Massachusetts campaigns: a 1 1/4″ celluloid pinback button from his failed 1907 campaign for re-election as mayor of Boston, featuring a portrait at center encircled by the text, "For Mayor, John F. Fitzgerald," and a golden border; and a 7/8″ celluloid pinback button from his unsuccessful 1922 Massachusetts gubernatorial campaign, featuring a head shot portrait. Both have paper backer inserts from the Boston Badge Co. In overall fine condition.
