Description

Pseudonym of prominent Danish author Karen Blixen (1885-1962), best known for her account of life in Kenya, Out of Africa, later adapted into an Academy Award-winning film. Two items: a glossy 5.5 x 3.5 postcard photo of Dinesin sitting with Marilyn Monroe and Carson McCullers at a luncheon in 1959, signed on the reverse in fountain pen using her given name, "Karen Blixen," and also adding the names of her two friends, "Marilyn Monroe, Carson McCullers, New York 1959"; and a fountain pen signature, "Karen Blixen, October 1960," an on off-white 5.75 x 3.5 card. In overall fine condition, with all of the handwriting a few shades light.
