Betty Grable Signed Photograph
Vintage sepia matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of McClelland Barclay's rendition of Grable's famous 1943 pin-up pose, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Chuck—Best always, Betty Grable." In fine condition, with a few small surface creases. It was during her reign as box office queen (in 1943) that Grable posed for this famous pin-up photo, which (along with her movies) soon became escapist fare among GIs fighting in World War II.
Clark Gable Signed Receipt
Partly-printed DS, one page, 3.25 x 7, October 20, 1960. Receipt from the Bel-Air Country Club for $7.75 worth of barber's and manicurist's services, signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Clark Gable. Corner-mounted to a red sheet of construction paper alongside a booklet listing the club's members, as well as a catalog listing theorizing that it may be Gable's last signature—he passed away on November 16, 1960. In fine condition.
Ralph Byrd Signed Photograph
Vintage matte-finish 10 x 8 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen by the Dick Tracy actor, "To Sid and Elaine: With all good wishes for you and your family. I count you a real friend—Ralph Byrd.” In fine condition, with tack holes, and associated minor surface loss, to each corner.
Clyde Beatty Signed Photograph
Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of the animal trainer in a suit and tie, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To 'Louisa Lester,' with sincere wishes, Clyde Beatty.” In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing and a slight brush to the inscription.
Maria Ouspenskaya Signature
Vintage fountain pen signature, "Maria Ouspenskaya,” on a light blue 4.5 x 2.75 album page. Matted with a glossy photo of Ouspenskaya and the Wolf Man to an overall size of 16 x 12. In fine condition. In overall very good to fine condition.
