Description

Writer (1895-1976) whose compilations and translations of classic Chinese texts into English were bestsellers in the West. TLS, one page, 7.5 x 10.75, June 21, 1967. Letter to Ken Browne, in part: "Mrs. Lin and I are enjoying living in Taiwan. We have a house and garden overlooking the city of Taipei, and are indeed happy to be once more in Chinese environment. I am currently busy editing a Chinese-English dictionary, besides other writing, and speeches. I do not have at present conveniently a photo to send you. However with our best wishes to you in Mesa, Arizona where we have never had the pleasure to visit." In fine condition, with staple holes to the upper left corner, and a short split to the vertical fold.
