Description

Super early promo photo of The High Numbers

Semi-glossy 6.25 x 8.25 silver gelatin promotional photo of The Who posing with their instruments when they were known as The High Numbers, signed in the lower border in blue ballpoint, "Roger Daltrey" and "Peter Townshend," and in dark blue ballpoint, "John Brown" and "Keith Moon." John Brown was an early stage name used by John Entwistle shortly after the formation of The Who. In fine condition, with a couple of small surface impressions. An extremely rare and early promotional photo of The Who, with a clean cast of signatures from each member of the band. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks, a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA, and a letter of provenance from the original recipient, who affirms that the autographs were obtained "sometime in between December 1964 and February 1965."
