Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 23 x 17.75, July 17, 1897. President William McKinley appoints William K. Anderson of Michigan as "Consul of the United States of America at Hanover, Germany." Signed nicely at the conclusion by McKinley and countersigned by Assistant Secretary of State Alvey Adee. Lower left features the original white paper seal. Framed to a slightly larger size. In very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, and light rippling to the edges.
