Stunning and surreal original 1982 painting by astronomical artist Don Dixon entitled 'Portrait of Saturn,' 19.5 x 15.5, which depicts the yellow-hued gas giant with prominent ring system as viewed from the craggy nucleus of a passing comet, an array of Saturn's 62 orbiting moons speckled throughout the background. Signed in the lower left corner in white paint by Dixon. Matted and framed with a small engraved plate to an overall size of 23.75 x 19.75. In fine condition.
