Letters from Titanic survivors—"I am getting quite a bit of attention because of the film"

Pair of one-page ALSs from Titanic survivors Millvina Dean and Eleanor Shuman: the Dean letter, signed "Millvina," 5.75 x 7.25, May 24, 1996, reads in part: "A newspaper reporter from Boston was on the phone to me 5 minutes ago, and asked if it was right I was going to the Reception in New York. I said nothing was confirmed yet and that I am waiting to hear from George Tulloch," the original investor in Titanic Ventures Limited Partnership, the group that mounted the first Titanic salvage expedition in 1987; and the Shuman letter, signed "Eleanor," 6.25 x 8.75, no date but circa late 1997 or early 1998, in part: "I went to Chicago yesterday with my son. We saw the film Titanic and it was wonderful. Of course I did some crying at the sad parts. I am getting quite a bit of attention because of the film." In overall fine condition.
