Rare Republic of Texas three dollar change note, 6.75 x 3, No. 4896, dated March 1, 1841, with engraved images of a cotton plant to left and the Roman goddess of agriculture, Ceres, shown sitting on a bale of hay to upper portion. In very good to fine condition, with expected cancellation cuts. The capitol of the Republic of Texas was in Austin from January 19, 1840 to September 1842.
