Description

Brad-bound shooting script belonging to comedic legend Redd Foxx for The Royal Family episode, 'What's Love Got to Do with It?,' season one, episode five, 40 pages, 8.5 x 11, dated August 26, 1991, with upper right corner of title page featuring a label marked, "Redd Foxx," with Foxx highlighting all of his character's lines and making numerous notes and edits in blue felt tip throughout the script. A four-page staff and crew contact list is stapled to the front of the script. In very good to fine condition, with expected wear from use, including some creasing and a couple tears to back page. Foxx starred alongside Della Reese in the Eddie Murphy-created CBS sitcom The Royal Family for one season and a total of 13 aired episodes. On October 11, 1991, Foxx suffered a massive heart attack during a rehearsal, an event his cast mates initially thought was a gag given how his Fred G. Sanford character routinely faked cardiac arrest. He passed away at the age of 68, less than two months after he used this script. From the personal estate of Redd Foxx.
