ALS in Italian, signed “Mussolini,” one page, 8 x 10.25, Il Capo del Governo letterhead, May 12, 1928. Letter to Minister of Finance Giuseppe Volpi, in full (translated): "Four million was requested, and it was affirmed that this would be enough to get the Credito Paduano on its feet. I do not accept these leaps and bounds by which eight million is being requested today, as if millions grew on trees. The Credito Paduano can count on four million, as it had requested, but not a cent more. It's time to put an end to considering the State as a kind of Court of Miracles!" In fine condition, with staple holes, and a small square file hole, to the upper left corner.
