Wright, in full: "Would gladly write in your first edition copy of 'Old-Fashioned Roses,' but why send the book for my autograph when I can send my autograph for the book?—This I venture doing now—(see other card)—hoping to save you both bother and delay." The letter is affixed to the front pastedown of a fourth edition hardcover copy of Old-Fashioned Roses, published in London by Longmans, Green, and Co., in 1892. In fine condition.
