Light brown leather cowboy chaps given by noted cowboy, world champion rodeo rider, and actor Casey Tibbs to Old Tucson Studios founder Robert Shelton during the filming of the 1967 film El Dorado. The chaps consist of supple light brown zippered leggings with inherent leather belt and metal buckle, annotated on the waistband in black felt tip: "Bob Shelton" and "Bob Shelton, 3450 N. Columbus Blvd., Tucson, Ariz. 795-2225." In very good to fine condition, with a few light stains. Accompanied by a magazine article about Tibbs, a two-time holder of the 'World All-Around Cowboy Champion' title, six-time world saddle bronc riding champion, and 1951 world bareback bronc riding champ, who went on to find success in Hollywood as a stunt man, coordinator, technical director, livestock consultant, wrangler, and actor for the film industry.
