Also known as Mountain Girl, Adams was a member of the Merry Pranksters group led by author Ken Kesey, with whom she bore a daughter, Sunshine. For several years Adams stayed with Garcia at his home in San Rafael, California, raising their three daughters and eventually marrying in late 1981.
