Description

American politician (1753-1813) who served as both attorney general and secretary of state in George Washington's cabinet. Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “Edm: Randolph,” one page, 14.25 x 12.25, February 20, 1788. As governor of Virginia, Randolph grants George Sullivan "a certain Tract or Parcel of Land, containing three Hundred Acres." Signed at the conclusion by Governor Randolph. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains mostly intact. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light toning, the bottom trimmed off, and all writing light but legible.
