Kennedy, cloth-bound hardcover with matching gilt-embossed slipcase, eight pages, 7 x 10.25, with accompanying presentation photo bearing a preprinted sentiment from Kennedy to “Mr. Donald S. Carmichael”; a menu for the Inauguration Luncheon on January 20, 1961, at the United States Senate Restaurant, two pages, 5.5 x 8.5, with embossed eagle and blue-and-gold roping; an invitation for the Inaugural Gala at the Armory in the City of Washington on January 19, 1961, with response card and envelope, and original mailing envelope addressed to Donald S. Carmichael; an invitation to the Inaugural Ball at the National Guard Armory on January 20, 1961, with response card and envelope; and four additional presentation photos of Kennedy, each bearing a preprinted sentiment to Carmichael. The Inaugural Address book is housed in a cloth-bound clamshell case. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Glenn Horowitz Bookseller citing that the copy of “President Kennedy’s Inaugural Address…came from the collection of Dave Powers, JFK’s longtime political aide who served as the first Director of the Kennedy Library.” From the estate of Donald Carmichael.
