Description

Scottish doctor and radical member of Parliament (1777-1855). Twice-signed ALS, one page, 4.5 x 7.25, 1830. Letter to Dr. McVickar, in part: "Mr. Richards will call for you tomorrow morning at 1/4 after 8 o'ck to enter you in his carriage to the election. On Friday I have some friends to dine with me…& shall be happy to see you there also." Reverse of the second integral black-bordered page with original black wax seal hand-addressed by Hume, who signs his name along the bottom. In very good to fine condition, with some light stains to the letter, and paper loss to its integral address leaf.
